Fernando Pérez Cos
I have been teaching Spanish to adults for over 30 years. In that time, I have worked with learners at every level — from complete beginners finding their feet with the basics, to advanced students refining the kind of precise, nuanced Spanish that opens professional and academic doors.
In 2001, I received the European Award for Languages for innovative teaching in languages — one of the most meaningful recognitions of my career, and a reflection of a principle I have held since the beginning: that how you teach matters as much as what you teach.
In 2004, I co-authored ¡Ponte al Día!, published by Hodder & Stoughton and designed for A-Level Spanish students in UK schools. Writing that book deepened my understanding of what structured, academically rigorous language learning looks like in practice.
Since 2014, I have been delivering Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses — officially funded programmes that prepare and retrain Spanish teachers for British secondary schools. Training teachers has given me a perspective on language learning that goes beyond the classroom: I have had to understand not just how students learn, but how teachers think, plan and make decisions.
The Spanish Program is the result of everything I have learned across those three decades — brought together with the best of what AI can now offer, and built around a single conviction: that serious adult learners deserve a course that takes them seriously.

Why The Spanish Program is different
Built by an examiner
The curriculum is designed by an official SIELE examiner. That means the course is built around exactly what the exam assesses — not around what is easy to teach.
A1 to C2 — complete
No competitor offers a single structured programme covering all six CEFR levels. The Spanish Program does — with consistent methodology, feedback and progression from absolute beginner to near-native.
AI feedback, human oversight
Every written exercise receives personalised AI feedback, supervised by an expert teacher. Available 24/7, consistent, and calibrated to each CEFR level.
